DMC is born in 1956 from a furniture company, to manufacture new machines with industrial methods, designed by skilled technicians in the high quality furniture production in order to reach a higher finishing level which the technology of the time was not capable to offer.
Since then, DMC is synonymous of automatic calibrating and sanding machines for the woodworking industry.
The ability to compete at the highest level of quality, gained DMC the trust of leading companies all over the world, contributing with their demanding needs for performances to the improvement of the products.
In 1987, by joining the SCM Group, the company added to his own know-how a new industrial and financial dimension, which allows the launching of longer term projects and the strengthening of his competitive position on the market.
In 1997 DMC moved to a new factory, in Villa Verucchio a few kilometers from Rimini, on an area of 15.000 sqm. with seven production lines, it is the world’s biggest for automatic sanding machines production.
Each line is equipped with specific tooling according to the model to be manufactured and it is organized with a flexible system in order to transform it in an island of production when a special machine is to be assembled.
Dedicated working centers, special machines like the ones to balance the rotating components, the most advanced auxiliary toolings, a spare parts warehouse, and a big show-room with machines ready for demostration, put this factory in the forefront of the sector and allow DMC to look far away, to be always one step ahead in the sanding history.
